36

The 36 links Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds up to every 15 mins with a top of the range fleet. We think the 36 buses are the finest in the country. Find out more here.

We've examined every detail about the 36. We've spent a lot of time talking to our customers and our team about what we can do to improve things. The result is a £3.3 million investment in 14 of the finest twin deck buses money can buy.

Catch a glimpse of the latest features in this video. Our grand launch event had lights, glamour and special guests; take a look at the video highlights.

Free superfast 4G wifi. USB power points at every single seat. Double glazing to give you a better view. Plush, leather coach seats upstairs with personal tables and quilted leather seats with a chill-out area downstairs.

A glazed roof, as let's face it, it's better to stare at the stars and sky than at a ceiling. New next stop audio and visual info screens, featuring the voice of everyones favourite Harry Gration. Contactless payments for easy ticket buying. And, Library 36 where you can bring, take and swap books for your journey.

But that's not all. Much of the current timetable between Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds is still every 15 mins between Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds Mon-Sat, with buses up to every 20 mins on Sundays. But we've added new night buses until 3:15am from Leeds every Friday and Saturday night. New fast rush hour buses along Scott Hall Road will get you to and from Leeds more quickly. And new buses will pick you up from Bilton, Jennyfield and Starbeck (and bring you right back) at busy times. Plus if you need onward travel in Leeds, we've teamed up with First to offer a £1 add-on to single, return and day tickets on 36 to use their buses in the city (see map).

Service with a smile is often a cliche. We think it's important. That's why we have hand-picking a dedicated 36 team that you can get to know, and they can get to know you. Even though we believe in better buses and better timetables, at the end of the day, it's all about the people.

Black, red and green. Whilst the new buses are packed with the latest features, modern construction means they are more robust yet lighter. They are the most fuel efficient diesel buses that exist in the world. Better  for the planet, better for you.

We know you already have some of the best buses around - you've told us so, with some of the best satisfaction scores that exist anywhere in local buses in the UK, but with the new 36 we reckon you'll have never had it so good. We don't do complacent, we want to do utter excellence.

Here's your 36 timetable here and get ready for an even better journey.

The 36 in pioneering partnership for more convenient bus travel.

27th May 16

We have teamed up with First Bus in Leeds to offer a '£1 add on' ticket for destinations in the Leeds city area for customers heading into Leeds from Ripon and Harrogate.

We have joined forces so customers on the 36, can now buy one ticket on board which will let them travel into Leeds and then beyond the city centre to destinations served by frequent First buses.

Such destinations available on the £1 add-on ticket include the main city hospitals and universities, Elland Road for Leeds FC and the popular White Rose shopping centre.

It is one of the first times such an arrangement has been created in West Yorkshire.

Alex Hornby our CEO said, “We're delighted to be working with First Bus on this voluntary partnership initiative. We've already invested £3.3 million in top-spec buses on the 36 this year, but we're committed to go even further for our customers.

"Independent research showed that some of our customers on the route travel further afield beyond Leeds city centre, and this lets them plan their onward journey from the outset very easily, and at an attractive price.

"Offering this ticket is in the name of making bus travel simple and more convenient for our customers which obviously remains one of our top priorities.”

Paul Turner, Head of Commercial for First West Yorkshire said, "The £1 add-on ticket gives customers even better access to Leeds as well as key destinations including St James' Hospital and the White Rose Centre. This is a great example of partnership working between operators to put the customer at the heart of the bus network."

The 'add on' ticket costs £1 and can be bought from the 36 driver alongside any single, return or day ticket.
